You also use the software’s Order menu to upload your design to our servers. Once the upload is complete, the software will launch your browser and navigate to CaseCAD’s online store, where you’ll be able to purchase one or more copies of your design, which we will fabricate for you.

CaseCAD’s charges for fabricating a custom case insert depend largely on its dimensions and whether you elect to have us provide foam for the lid of the case, choices that you can change at any time using CaseCAD's Configuration menu. There will also be a surcharge imposed if your design includes more than the standard allowance for the number of pockets (24 one-inch-deep pockets, 12 two-inch-deep pockets, 8 three-inch-deep pockets and so forth.

The price of an insert is computed by summing the following four components:

1. Setup charge ($45.00)

2. Geometry-dependent charge ($6 per inch of thickness in the section with pockets plus $0.06 per cubic inch of foam used)

3. Surcharge for pockets in excess of standard allowance ($1 for a 1-inch-deep pocket, $2 for 2-inch and so forth)

4. Surcharge for electing to include lid foam ($6 plus $0.06 for each cubic inch of foam used)

Example:

The foam insert for the PELICAN™ 1400 case shown at right, which measures about 12" by 9" by 5" inches, would cost just $104.92 (including foam for the lid).
